Evelyn PuelloCountry Coordinator and Team Leader
Evelyn has worked with ISL since 2009 and says she feels “extremely happy to have the opportunity to connect amazing volunteers with Dominican and Haitian communities, contributing to improve the health of many”. Goal: To use chiropractic skills to promote health and wellness in needy communities, experience Dominican culture, and gain perspective on the global landscape.
Day 1: Meet ISL Staff at the airport, settle into Bella Epoca, celebrate the new year with a special dinner and dancing.
Day 2: Welcome to the Dominican Republic” and Medical Orientations; beach volleyball; sort and label donations.
Day 3: Chiropractic activities; clinic in San Cristobal.
Day 4: Chiropractic activities; clinic in San Cristobal.
Day 5: Chiropractic activities; clinic in San Cristobal. PM: Tour Santo Domingo and shop for souvenirs.
Day 6: Chiropractic activities; clinic in La Barquita Community.
Day 7: Chiropractic activities; clinic in La Barquita Community.
Day 8: Chiropractic activities; clinic in La Barquita Community. PM: Share with the Community.
Day 9: Recreation day at Saona Island ($50 per person).
