ISL offers health teams to Nicaragua including medical, dental, public health, nursing, and veterinary.
Nicaragua teams arrive in Managua, Nicaragua for orientation and seminars in tropical medicine, taking vital signs, pharmacology, house clinic-community triage, clinic organization, medical Spanish seminars, as well as history of Nicaragua. Teams perform house clinics, community health surveys, village triage, and clinics in different areas and towns, based on local needs at the time of the trip. Teams depart home from Managua, Nicaragua.
We also offer multi-country teams to Costa Rica/Nicaragua.
Costa Rica & Nicaragua teams will arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica. Teams will work in Costa Rica for the first half of the trip then may their way to Nicaragua and work in Nicaragua for the second half of the trip. Teams maybe traveling by bus, 4×4′s, or boat as they perform clinics along the way from Costa Rica to Nicaragua. Teams then depart from Managua, Nicaragua.
Teams consist of about six to sixteen students and are accompanied by ISL staff and licensed health professionals.
