Dominican Republic
The spirit and charm of the Dominican Republic is captured in its music, food and the kindness of its people. As well as being a land of beauty, Dominican Republic is also a land of contrast, from wealth to extreme poverty. Haitians form the largest foreign minority group. ISL serves rural as well as urban shanty communities near Santo Domingo.

Our teams to the Dominican Republic arrive in Santo Domingo and travel toward Haiti working with orphanages and clinics, reaching the poor and under-served with needed health care. Teams do public health training and health clinics under the supervision of local doctors.
We currently offer General Medicine teams and Haitian Relief teams in the Dominican Republic.
